Hi HR members, I am working in an ITES company as an HR Executive. It's a startup company with around 30 employees. Please provide me with some implementations and suggestions on how to track latecomers and overcome this issue with my employees. Thank you.

Install Finger Access Machine which will have Both : In & Out Time. Start Mailing them their records for awareness. You can seat and discuss about their reports on one to one basis.

You can also prepare an application within your system in which an employee has to register their in-time once they log into their machine. This application can be developed by freshers with the support of senior people or even by students if you provide them with an internship. The result is you get your work done, and they complete their academic projects.
This is what we have implemented. Also, when the employee is done with their work for the day, they have to fill out their timesheet on a daily basis—a record of daily work. This is also within the system. Once they submit their timesheet, their out-time is registered automatically in the system.

Hi all, this is Shravan GLN. We can control late logins by emphasizing the importance and value of work. We should encourage employees who fulfill their work responsibilities on time. By doing so, the issue of late logins will be managed, and the company will benefit. When employees respect and feel connected to the company, it results in a positive outcome.
Thanks,

Hi Swati, the punch machine is the best option. You can generate daily punch reports within seconds. For now, until you have a punch machine, you can make a list (hard copy) of your company employees and hand it over to the guard/peon/receptionist, whichever is convenient. Ask them to note their timing when they enter the office premises and submit it to you on a daily basis so that you can track their in-time.

Though we have installed fingerprint punch machines and taken enough measures to avoid late arrivals, it's not proving effective. Every day, we have employees logging in at least 10 minutes late, citing various reasons. Please suggest alternative ways to address this issue.
