In an Employer - Employee relationship the services of Employee is hired by the Employer on certain mutually agreed terms and conditions. Employees are paid for what they do on daily basis in terms of work. Appreciation is to be given when some body do exemplary work, when they exceed beyond expectations. So ignoring mundane daily work identify exemplary work of the employee and provide certificate of appreciation, small gift, sharing the name in notice board etc.
