Dear Monisha,
The thing is that she might have a fear that if something goes wrong because of your direct mails, employees/management would retreat her. Whatsoever, keep watching for the sunshine
to make a hay out of it. Meanwhile, go along with her in good terms and learn the positive (if any) points from her so that it will be of use to you if you can switch over to some other avenues.
Best of luck!

Dear All,
One of my friend have come across with the same kind of problem initially he wants her to organise everything, later once he came to know about her calliber he never allows her to expose her calliber, he always acts a big barrier and great challenge to her job. Every time he steels some kind of approach and expose the same as his job to the senior Mgmt. Finally she keep on track and she expose the half job to him and she also made a CC to the supervisor's supervisor while mailing him. At one point of time they find out the actual person who is working and who is not working. Keep in mind. People can steel the ideas, but they cant sustain for long time.
so never expose your ideas to her. Keep yourself active and expose whenever you get the chance.
Regards

Dear Pal,I had faced similar situation. I was having calibre of handling all HR activities. Savvy in Labour Laws, Capacity of titling of allowances for Ees. so that IT burden can be reduced Like Medical Allowance (Reimb.), HRA Helper Allowance, HRA etc., what can be considered under IT, what can be exempted, IT Calculation alongwith sections etc., Compensation/Payroll, ESI,PF,PT,Bonus,LTA etc. was known only by me. In that way Directors used to call me again & again. All the Ees. used to call to me for any query salary, allowances, ways to reduce IT, profitable investments (Equity shares) because our Manager was not having even 50% of knowledge of me. I was having the knowledge of statutory provisions. CFO, Other dept. managers too in touch with me rather than Manager - HR. He advised many times to not enter into the scene directly so that he can go for such things. But Directors,CFO, Other dept. managers used to be in touch with me only. I was not a Manager. I could deal independently. Me was deemed Manager. He only remained as Admn. Manager although he heads the HR dept. But he could build my image me as Good for nothing in eyes of MD. But I didn't leave the Orgn. As others were in touch with me regularly for all HR matters, he could not do anything. I smelt the rat that other managers,CFO are trying to build me more sothat HR Manager can be reduced to null. I have utilised the situation. Once I was threatened to terminate. But I could identify the differnces between CFO/other managers and HR Manager may be helpful as per foresee. Ya! it was right. It could be helpful in growing myself. The situation had reached to such level that he had to come to me instead of going to him. Solution is being hr you have to be like Chanakya. Try to indentify the differences between other superiors, and your superior, who are having close with Directors and above. Try to be in touch with them which will be helpful in building your image and reducing her image. Follow Napolean and try it again & again. The position will reach to such situation she will come to you for rescue from any operationBai,Sathish

Hello every one!

This is Manisha, I started this thread long back in 2009 and I am very happy to write this to all of you who were there with you during this discussions and gave a strength and insights to tackle the situation.

I was just going through my previous threads and caught my attention on this.

I want to happily inform all who were present in this forum that I managed to cop up with the situation and with few months things turned up and down! Management did realized my calibre and after say 9 months asked her to leave. I was the only one then in the HRD department taking care of the entire organization. Then Management was pleased with my performance and shifted me to HR department (where initially I had interest to move in) I was there learned and then leaded the team for say 5.6 years. Currently I hold 10 yrs of rich HR experience and is working as Head HR with Power Industry.

Like many of you said, the work will talk for itself and that is what exactly happened for me. Very happy at the steady growth I got and looking forward to learn more every day.

Once again I want to thank each one of you who guided, advised and suggested me to tackle that unfair situation.

All the best to all of you.

Take care and God bless
