Dear All

Good Afternoon.
How is everyone out here? Must have had emptied your lunch boxes and trying to hold your eyelids against falling. Well this is the case with most of us working in Dubai.
Now as we all are into this forum and ready to gear up and share our knowledge and experiences, why don’t we plunge into some discussion topics. Let me start with a subject.
I am new in this field of HRM. Often I come across with my own thoughts and ponder on issues which I want to share with you all. I am sure with all your rich experience I may be able to get some answers to my questions which bugs me always.

Some Questions: Human Resource Management
My understanding:
All companies abide by the Policies & Procedures laid by the companies (Corporate Objectives). HRM Policies are in line with the Norms, Terms & Conditions of the Nations (Law of the Land) Labor Policies (MOL).
Nations (Governments – MOL’s) follow guidelines laid by some Centralized Agency monitored by an International Neutral Agency. Correct?

Now coming to the point. Talking about Dubai. We the working lot in Dubai, especially expatriate population is a mixed population of different nationalities, culture and traditions. But, we all (Those working in HR field) come under ONE Brand category as HR Managers / Assistants etc

What do we follow in terms of Policies? …….Company Policies correct?
What do we abide by? Law of the Land (Regulations laid by Dubai MOL)

Now when we talk about HRM - Are we just enough to understand the employees who are a big bunch of bouquets with different variety of flowers?

Any comments?
