Hi Swetha, Even I would agree with Chetan.........It is at the sole discretion of the management to fix the no of leaves. I guess the max no would be 24 in a year.

Dear Shweta,
Employee is entitled for 18 EL (1.5leave per month), 12 GL (1 per month) & declared holidays (as per state Govt.)
Count in Industry std for declared holidays is 10-13 Holidays (which includes Gandhi Jayanthi, Independence day, Republic day)
I hope you have the ans now...
Have a nice day!

Dear Shweta
I also agree with the above statements that the no. of leaves (CL, SL & PL) solely depends on the leave policy of the org.
still here is a govt obligation in regards of the leaves. it may vary from the commercial act applies to ur org. and ur state.
if u r in Haryana the mandatory no. of leaves are -
CL - 7
SL - 7
PL - 15 for the whole year.
it may depend on the internal leave policy of the company that these leaves woyuld be carry forwarded to next year or not. in most of the organisations, only PL get carry forwarded in the next calender year but CL and SL got lapse on 1st Jan.
I hope this will clarify your query.

Hey Shweta,
The leaves depend entirely on the HR Manual of each organisation. Different companies have different manuals depending upon their Manning System & hence, the best person to inform you about the same would be your HR Manager / Executive. For example, in my organisation a personnel is entitled to 35 leaves annualy & Trainees are entitled to 24 leaves annualy.
Hope this resolves your query!!
God Bless

Hi Shweta,
You can look into the Shop and Establishment Act of your State.
As the said Act of West Bengal prescribes
1. 14 days PL on full pay for every completed year of service.
2. 14 days sick leave on half pay against medical certificate.
3. 10 days CL on full pay.
4. in case of women Maternity Leave in addition to above.
However in our company we have also 15 days leave ( CL in nature ) in
addition to the 12 calender holidays.
With regards,
Sanjay:)
