Hi Ritu,

Very well said. These are the activities which a generalist profile HR must know. It doesn't matter whether you are a Coordinator or an Executive; one must know the entire HR gamut. The only thing you are required to do is learn the systems. It will not be done in a short time, but gradually you will become very much aware and familiar with the systems.

Start with Time-sheet, Attendance, Leave, Pay slip Distribution, Joining formalities, coordinating recruitment, reference checks, and other small activities. In between, assist in other functions as well. After a period of time, you will become familiar with other activities as well.

Just want to add my voice to that appeal for someone to complete that Excel job profile. My boss has asked me to do a job profile for an admin role. We run a project for getting young people into work, so it's about coordinating the recruitment process and related paperwork, receiving applications, sending to relevant employment officers, setting interview dates, sending feedback to candidates, etc. Anybody?
