Hi all,

I am Sumit, working as an HR coordinator in an MNC (IT company) based in Gurgaon. Earlier, I was working as a Recruitment Executive in a placement company. Now, as my role has changed, I am facing some initial problems adjusting to my current position as it is entirely different from my previous role. I would appreciate your help in understanding the specific roles and responsibilities of an HR Coordinator so that I can perform well. Additionally, I am curious about the career prospects in this field.

Transitioning from Recruitment to an HR Coordinator role, I am uncertain if it was a good move and how it will benefit my career. I hold an MBA in HR & Marketing and have 2.5 years of experience in Recruitment.

I would also like to know the potential growth path and growth rate in this role.

Regards,
Sumit

Hi Sumit,

I suggest you jot down all the responsibilities and tasks that you have to handle first. Then, you can organize them in the manner of your convenience. Try to understand what your role is; this will help you to organize things and adjust to the work situation.

Hope this helps you.

Hi Sumit,

There is a Key Result Area (KRA) in all companies which outlines your job responsibilities. You can either refer to your individual KRA or obtain your team's KRA and develop your own based on that. By doing so, you will have a clear understanding of your job profile.

Hi, I am joined with the Pvt. firm as an HR executive. Since last two months, I have been working here under a senior executive who assigns me work to do on a daily or weekly basis, like making some formats for the firm, writing circulars and notices, making detailed folders or lists of joined and new employees or current employees.

Well, as I am a girl who hates sitting idle, I need help in knowing what the key responsibility areas of an HR executive are, what her duties are, and in the absence of her senior, where and what decisions she or one could take. What all work she can do. Help me in this.

Thank you.
