I have a question. Please give me a clear answer: I was working at XXX. I have 12 months of experience, and I resigned from there after serving the full notice period. After that, I joined YYY for only a month and left immediately. I then joined another MNC and presented the experience letter from XXX, and now they will conduct a background verification (BGV) there.

Now, my question is, will there be any issue in the background verification because of YYY, or will they know about YYY?

Hi, during the BGV process, it may be revealed. It depends on the BGV process. Some companies only verify past employment and salary, so we can't predict. Be prepared with convincing answers in case of any questions from the current employer regarding your employment with YYY.

    Dear ----

At the time of joining, I clearly informed them that after leaving XXX, I joined YYY and worked there for only one month.

  • Impact of Incomplete CVs on Background Verification

Most companies take a serious view of incomplete CVs, especially when you leave without notice after a month; they consider it a major negative.

I do not know how this particular company will respond. It may be a good idea for you to reach out to HR and explain that you worked there for a month and left, so you didn't put it in your employment history because the experience was irrelevant. You better have a good story for leaving after a month.
