Constituting Committees for Grievance Handling

You have to either constitute a Works Committee, which should have equal participation of management representatives and workmen representatives, or constitute a Grievance Redressal Committee, having an equal number of management and workmen representatives. In both committees, the Unit Head, HR Head, or Finance Head shall chair the committee meetings.

Dear Thiru, you raised a good and common query on the grievance redressal procedure. In many standard companies, their HR policies/manuals mention this. One of the important duties of the Welfare Officer/HR is to handle this carefully and expeditiously.

In addition to the policies, as part of the committee (GRC), HR practices, the Industrial Disputes Act, as well as the IR Code, have made provisions for Grievance Redressal as a mandatory requirement.

The following YouTube link may provide you with an idea that could be useful to you and many: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l_Ej...amp;amp;t=263s.

Thank you,
