Hi Everyone,

How to write a letter of notice to the employee to leave the company within 15 days due to his continuous absenteeism many times? Written warnings have been issued, but there has been no improvement in his behavior. Now, management has decided to replace him.

Please guide.

Dear Rohini,

This is not the proper or legal way of discharging an employee for his habitual absenteeism. You should frame specific charges of the misconduct of unauthorized absence, obtain his reply, conduct a domestic enquiry, analyze the enquiry officer's report, issue a second show cause notice about the proposed punishment of dismissal on the proven charge of unauthorized absence along with the E.O's report, and then only issue an order of dismissal.

Rohini, you can't just terminate an employee based on absences. You should issue warning letters and showcase letters. If the employee fails to comply, you have the right to terminate. Maintain proper written documentation in this regard.
