The Union Ministry of Women and Child Welfare has come out with a set of National Minimum Guidelines for Creches, as contemplated under The Maternity Benefit (Amendment) Act, 2017. A copy of the guidelines is attached for reference.

How do I empanel a creche for my company? The creche/daycare does not understand the requirements as per the Maternity Act. They only want the child to be enrolled. Currently, there is no woman staff who is married in my company.

Is there any paperwork that needs to be done? One of the creches told me to pay 60 thousand per year to get enrolled.

Please advise on what exactly these guidelines mean.
