Understanding Absconding from a BPO Company: Implications and Resolution - CiteHR

Hello all, I am Rajasekhar. I would like to know one thing regarding absconding from a BPO company. One of my friends was absconded from an HGS BPO job, and he received a notice regarding dues for not following the notice period and not returning the ID card. Now, HGS is asking my friend to pay approximately 10,000. Should he pay it, or can he take it lightly? Please tell me.

You need to give full details. What were the terms and conditions of appointment? Absconding from duty is not good and has a bad effect on your employment potential. Either you have to hide a gap in the CV or you may encounter legal problems. The ID card needs to be returned as it is not your property. As far as Rs10,000 is concerned, it depends on the terms and conditions in your duly accepted appointment order.
