One day, a girl from Dice.com called me for a job at HCL as a Software Engineer. She said, "We have a connection with HCL, and we will get you a job through a hassle-free process." They called me around 11:45 am and asked me to pay Rs. 2000 to generate the test link (aptitude test). They told me that I had to pay before 12 pm because the test would start at 12 pm. I didn't have time to think, and I paid that amount.

Afterward, the phone number was continuously switched off, and on another phone number, they did not answer my calls. I messaged them, requesting them to return my money very politely initially, but they didn't even reply to my messages. Frustrated with this situation, I lost my composure and used some abusive language. Now, they are threatening me, saying that they will blacklist me, and I will never get a job in my life.

I'm scared now. Please help.

The incident shows how gullible you are. Your penultimate statement confirms it. At least from now onwards, beware of tricksters. Is it not understandable that "Dice.com" is not a recruitment agency for employers? How can they blacklist you to prevent you from any future employment? Better leave it as it is. If not, lodge a criminal complaint with the police if you are prepared to shell out some more money.
