The employee Identity Card is issued to the individual employee for identification purposes by the organization. In case of any problems arising outside the office or workplace premises, the concerned employee can use the card for self-identification in that locality to the local authorities who are verifying the identities of individuals. No law mandates companies or organizations to issue identity cards to their employees.
