What was the reason for termination? It is now 6 years since you got terminated, why did you delay approaching labour court?

First of all, thank you for your reply.

The case is still pending in court. The company has become ex parte two times and is still ex parte. I seek advice on the following points:

1) Whether I am covered under the definition of 'workmen' under the industrial act.
a) My designation was Senior Agency Manager, with no administrative powers, solely responsible for promoting the sales of policies and having no subordinate staff.
b) My basic salary is approximately 6500, but the total take-home salary was around 20000.
c) Whether the appropriate government body is the labor court in my case, as the company is a Limited Life Insurance Company.

My Provident Fund (PF) is still pending with the company. What is its effect? Are there any recent case decisions or amendments regarding this matter?

Please advise accordingly. You can ask for any details you need to provide the right advice.

Thank you,
Dutt

As I mentioned in my first post, I immediately approached the labor inspector and then the labor conciliation commissioner. After that, the case adhered to the labor court. This process has taken one year, and now the case is pending with the labor court, with dates scheduled. The company became ex parte two or three times. I had never visited your site before, but fortunately, I have now found it. I believe seeking your advice would be beneficial. Thank you.
