Hi, it's been almost two months since I joined a reputed organization in Noida as an HR Executive. My query is, I have two years of experience, and I am a well-versed person in HR Recruitment. I believe I have better expertise than all my other team members.

Current Work Situation

If I talk about my reporting manager, she has been too busy to assign me any work for the past two weeks. I have been sitting idle as they are not assigning any tasks to me. Furthermore, all of them have below-average communication skills, whether it be written or verbal. Even my reporting manager struggles with English communication. I am worried about what I should do now.

Please help; I badly need some expert advice. 

Well, an honest answer would be, yes, you are overreacting. Not just that, you need to work on your professional maturity; otherwise, it will cost you dearly in your career.

Many problems in the workplace can be easily solved with open and proper communication. You have spent 2 years in this company, so obviously you did have work before. You need to see why you don't have work now and ask your manager to assign you work.

Also, a friendly piece of advice, more as a senior to a junior - don't be so quick to dismiss other people's English communication. It is good to have a lot of confidence in yourself, but it can be dangerous to ignore your own shortcomings. I don't know if this is how you usually write or if it was because you were feeling agitated and wanted to get your thoughts out of your head, but the message above has plenty of English errors, and I wonder if your colleagues really have worse English communication skills.

Ok, enough of preaching :) Cheer up, go talk to your manager, ask her to give you work, and build a reading habit or watch English news or do something to improve your English skills. Stop feeling as if they are trying to target you.
