Issue with Receiving Employment Credentials

Three months ago, I joined a new organization for better opportunities. In my previous manufacturing company, I adhered to the company's HR policy by serving a notice period of more than three months. However, I have not yet received any credentials such as a relieving letter, experience letter, or final settlement.

Yesterday, I spoke to the HR personnel, who informed me that I was terminated without prior intimation. I had sent my resignation letter twice via email, and I have copies of the emails as proof. Could you please explain the further steps I need to take to obtain all the required credentials?

Thank you.

Sorry for your situation. Did you get any reply to the resignation email sent to your supervisor/HR? Did you receive a termination email/letter from your last employer? Is your present company asking for your employment papers?

You should speak with the HR Head of the company or a person at the Executive level and explain the situation, supported by proper proof. If you can request some additional time from your present company for submitting the documents, you can then approach the labor department for further assistance.

Thank you for the information. I did not receive any termination letter or email from my previous employer. My current company is requesting my relieving and experience letters, and they have also contacted my former employer for verification. The HR department informed them that I was terminated, but I am unaware of the reason for this. The HR's statement has affected my reputation in my new company. Could you please advise on the next steps I should take?

Thank you.

You can get support from your colleagues at your last organization. What is the turnover and strength of employees in this company?

Anyway, it looks like a small organization that wants to spoil employees' careers. Talk to top management directly about your issues by calling or emailing them.

Sometimes, it happens; don't lose hope and try to maintain a healthy relationship with your colleagues. There must be someone who will understand your situation because if it happened to you, it could happen in the future. So, speak up for your rights, but be patient and smart in handling this particular situation.

I have tried multiple times via email and phone, but I haven't received any reply from their side. It seems to be a small organization with only about 30 employees working there. No one seems to understand my situation. Please help me with the further process to obtain my credential.

Thanks,
Punniakotty
