Hello everybody, I have been working with a company for the last 6 months. Due to some reasons, I want to leave this company as I don't receive my salary on time and there is no substantial work for me here; I am only required to show the employer that I am doing some work. There is nothing to learn here, plenty of restrictions, and politics. The issue is that there is a 2-year bond; if you leave the company before two years, you will have to pay 2 months' salary. Additionally, the company has my original qualification documents. What can be done to properly resign from the company and retrieve my original documents?

Thank you.

Hello Amit,

Thanks for your post. You need to be careful while writing, as there are many mistakes. In India, no organization is allowed to collect original documents except for verification purposes.

Experience and Field Inquiry

How many years of experience do you have, and in which field? I would request you to inform this to your department head and discuss it in detail. Definitely, he/she will help you, and you cannot say there is nothing to learn. No one will tell you how to learn; you have to find ways of learning.

Professional Loyalty Advice

I would advise you to be loyal to your profession, not the organization. Hope this may help you.

Regards,
Shaikh Abedeen

Thank you, Shaikh Abedeen, and sorry for the mistakes. I will take care to ensure this won't happen again. I am working as an HR and Admin with an overall experience of approximately 2.7 years. I started working with a small Software Development Firm, which I can say was under proprietorship. I worked there for approximately 2 years, handling all recruitment and administration activities.

About 6 months ago, I got an opportunity to work with my current company, a limited company. When I joined, I was the only HR as my senior was on leave due to personal reasons. For 3-4 months, I managed everything and learned many new things. However, now that my senior is back, I am not assigned any work. There are several issues causing frustration among employees, and some are considering leaving the organization. The only reason we are all still here is that we have submitted our original documents.

Please suggest a solution so that I can leave the company while retaining our documents.

Looking forward to your response.
