Dear All,
I Don`t understand why Hr and admin under the same head ? HR & Admin is not linked and related.Admin Job is most non Technical & Any Graduate Can also perform the duties with little or no experience,which is not the case for Hr.,Hr is mostly Performed by Specialist and Professionals.
Hr needs to have Interpersonal Skills , Communication skills , Listening Abilities , friendly Considerate etc. Wherein for admin you don`t need any of these skills necessarily.
Most of the Mid level/ Lower Level/start ups have admin and Hr under the same banner to reduce cost.
Appreciate to have feedback of the seniors.

Human Resource and Administration department are well connected. Human Resources is is an important department of the entity. Its purpose revolves around the people who work for the organization; employees, laborers, administrators, and so on. Every employee counts because everybody collaborates with something in order for the entity/organization to function properly; everybody has a task or several tasks. Therefore, Human Resources department's part is in charge of supervising people, assuring work environment quality (individual and collective), searching for new and efficient resources (new employees, so to speak), and everything else related for an organizational development.
Also Administration department plays a vital role in the execution part and I don't stand by your words; admin people do not need Interpersonal Skills, Communication skills, Listening Abilities, friendly Considerate, etc. Always remember, technical, non-technical every department has its own challenges.

They ensure that the housekeeping, the security, the infrastructure run smoothly. An administration person is always on call 24x7.
I am saying this out of experience, since I have about 25 years of HR & Administration experience in the IT industry and it is not an easy task trying to get the housekeeping and security staff to work. By the way, it is not just Mid-level/Lower-level/start-ups which have HR & admin under the same banner. Some of the big companies, in the IT industry, have HR & Admin under one banner.

Probably u have not understood my question well.
I have not said admin is easy job in my post.I Have compared skills required for HR & Admin.
I just want to understand why Hr & admin put together , why not hr & accounts or hr & System IT etc.
