Hello Rahul Chugh,
Frankly, initially I thought this was a prank posting--but after noticing your series of reminder postings, felt you were serious.
Coming to your queries--First & foremost, FORGET about the Interview & the questions.
Pl answer FROM YOUR PERSPECTIVE all the queries related to your MBA degree--I am sure you would have had some idea/reason(s) as to WHY YOU DID what you did--right? WHAT ARE THEY?
Let's take it from there for a discussion.

Dear,

A few contributions from my side for these questions. Hope it helps you:

1) HR is an interesting field & to explore more in that area. We are facing human resource everywhere and we have to learn how to manage Human Resource

2) Dealing human resource is a challenging job and i love to take up challenging jobs. Its not a routine thing & we can learn a lot from this profession which also helps my personal life. Every day is a learning experience in this profession.

3) IT is a developing field right now.. and HR field requires the support of IT to give the optimum inputs and to work in a professional & efficient manner

4) A Smart worker can always be a hard worker also but all hard workers cannot be a smart worker. A smart worker achieves whatever is planned but a hard worker, inspite of putting lot of efforts may be successful or a failure. Therefore an organisation requires smart workers rather than hard worker.

A smart workers uses his skill with efforts but hard worker uses only his efforts....!!!

Hi rahul

The quesions posted by you are very common in interviews and have subjective answers i.e that very from person to person. If such questions are asked by me my answer would be such as

1)I did mba in hr because i think my skills are best suited with this field as i have good interpersonal skills, i have ability to judge and mold behaviour of others .i am most of the time able to solve problem of people i m surrounded with.moreover Hr is a field important for all type of industries so its scope is wider than any other

2) Hr as profession opens door for every type of industry as well as provide learning opportunity every day as it deals with people and every person is different from other

3) IT is a growing sector providing large employment opportunity . bpo , kpo etc face problems in recruitment as well as retentions all this increases the importance of hr in these companies and hence increases opportunity. degree in it will help me to understand job profiles effectively and hr degree with help me to put right candidate to right job

4)hard work means doing job efficiently with working hard

whereas smart work is doing work effectively and efficiently with methods that save cost time and effort and stills leads to ultimate and better results

Hope these may help you if i m wrong i would appreciate the feedback

thanks and regards

@ var_bha(Varsha)
Wow... Thank you for your reply
Could you please elaborate your answer "Hr as a Profession"?
Secondly , lets assume there is this guy who has done Mba in Hr and prior to Mba he did a Bachelors degree in Computer Applications(BCA) . This guy does not have interest in working in an IT company as an HR. Moreover he wants to work as an HR in a pharma/cosmetic company or any other Fmcg company for that matter . Now in this case , if the interviewer asks him , John, Why did you pursue MBA in HR after doing BCA? and a few follow up questions like :
Would you not like to apply for an HR Position in an IT Company ?
Why would you want to work as an HR in an FMCG company?
_______
@ var_bha(Varsha) : How would you tackle this situation >? as in How would you answer the main question and the follow up questions as well?
A quick reply will be appreciated
Thank in advance

Dear mr chug

It seems you are taking my interview anyways since you have ask i will definetly try to answer

HR means every person working in organization right from top level to lower most level . All other assets of companies i.e physical assets , fixed assets may very as per company needs but no company can work without human resource . whether its any company the role of hr remains same i.e recruitment, training, manpower planning , career development etc. thus person with hr degree can work in any industry wheras if a person is doctor he can only work in hospital industry for example this is not with hr so it has great scope thats what i mean with answer i gave for choosing hr as profession

well if u did bca then who must definetly think y u dont want to work in it company

but in case assuming condition you have mentioned my answer would b

My ultimate aim was to do mba in hr for that i was required to do a gradation degree i was having two option bcom and bca .since bcom is more financial that would not helped me in hr

bca is related to computer field and now a days every organisation as gone technical i.e there is hardly any field where computerised systems are not used even in hr software such as payroll , SAP , electronic attendence systems are used so i choosed bca to keep myself updated with softwares knowledge which i can use in my ultimate goal of being hr

3) I am not interested in making my career in it industry as i am much more interested in fmcg sector

4) fmcg sector is one of the sector which has covered not only urban market but it has also covered rural area . these are products the demand of which is evergreen these are consumerable good and are frequently purchased so these industries are growing and will even grow in future moreover the number of employees in these industries are more than any other sector as they have large distribution chain , more employees more hr problems more the problems more are the learning opportunity thats y i want to work in fmcg company

hope u r satisfied and if you or anybody find my answer wrong plz correct me
