Dear All,

I have been working with my company since April 2010, and my increment was supposed to happen in December '11. At that time, my company informed me that the increment would be done the following month. However, now my boss is saying that the company is facing losses. What should I do at this stage? There are no performance issues, of which I am certain.

What should be my next step? Kindly share your views on this matter.

Thank you.

Hi Amit,

It's been 1.10 years in my present company. If you are asking about learning, that we always do, there are no constraints for learning. My company does not work according to the policies. It's just that they wanted to do an increment, they will do it, otherwise, they will say the company is in loss. But the people who do a lot of buttering will get 2 increments in one year. I guess you must have heard about lala companies. Our company is exactly the same, but I don't want to change jobs without an increment.

Dear Meenakshi,

It's not necessary that every company will release their increments above 1 year. Many employers can give increments after 2-5 years. Have any other employees from your company received an increment?

Thank you.
