Dear Team, My husband has been working in a Japanese company for the past 5.5 years. Previously, he used to receive an increment letter in January every year. However, recently they have been delaying it as much as possible. In 2015, the company gave him a 6% hike. The increment letter was issued to him on March 28, 2015, with the date on the letter showing January 13, 2015. Upon signing the letter, he expressed his dissatisfaction with the hike and is now considering leaving the company. Due to his dissatisfaction note on the increment letter, his increment is currently on hold. He is hopeful that he will receive the letter after discussing with the management next Monday, which is April 13, 2015. If he accepts the letter in the evening by signing it and subsequently resigns from the company, would he be eligible to receive the arrears from January 2015 until the present date regarding the hike accepted on April 13, 2015?
