Hello All,
Kindly give me your inputs. Is there any specific rule regarding working hours in an IT company for peons, security guards, or night shift guards? I am working on this, but there is nothing transparent. Kindly suggest if you have implemented something related to the working hour policy for peons and guards.
Thanks,

Hi Surya,
I suggest that security guards and supervisors should not have 12-hour shifts. While you may feel safe currently, this practice does not comply with the Private Security Agencies Regulation (PSAR) Act 2005.
Additionally, if you pay double the wages for overtime, it may not be cost-effective to either have another shift or require existing guards to work overtime. The cap for overtime in a quarter is typically 50 hours.
Furthermore, I recommend implementing an indemnity bond to cover any losses resulting from theft or pilferage with the security company.
Thank you.
