I am working in a three-shift rotation. The shift timings are 8 am to 4 pm, 4 pm to 12 midnight, and 12 midnight to 8 am. Sometimes I have to work for 24 hours a day if my reliever does not turn up on duty.
Request you to kindly provide me with information about the maximum working hours per day as per Indian labor law. If I work for 24 hours in a day, please specify whether I am eligible for dues from the employer/insurance company if any mishap happens.

Hi, my name is Rajesh, and I am a Senior Executive in the HR department of a Textile company.
I am facing a problem where we have three shifts operating on my side. I would like to inquire if it is possible to have an employee work continuously for one month without changing shifts.
Your assistance on this matter would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks & regards,
Rajesh

Recently, I have joined Vamsi Concepts (firm) as a sales officer. I am currently in my 27-day probation period. My management has informed me that if I am deemed a non-performer even for a day, I will be asked to leave the job. Despite reaching my targets and carrying out promotional activities, I am in this difficult situation. Could you please advise me on what to do? Your help would be greatly appreciated.

Dear Kishore,
As you stated and based on my understanding, your first mistake may result in receiving the first warning letter for nonperformance. In actuality, according to the rules, they cannot terminate your employment without issuing a third warning letter. Therefore, you still have two opportunities to improve your performance. Best of luck.
Regards,
Rajesh
