Hi All,

I'm new in IT Co. and the only HR over here. This is a startup firm. I need help to frame policies for the employees and also guidance on the areas of my functioning in day-to-day activities. Currently, I am looking to document the employees and define general rules. I require assistance on what steps I should take next.

I am working with one of Construction Company, which has been started a few months ago, and I am working there as a "Sr. HR". My director told me that I have to make an HR strategy for our company. As we are new, I have to start from the beginning, including how many, which category of people we have to recruit, what licenses and other procedures we have to follow. Please, anyone, help me to set up my HR department. We are in the construction business, so according to our business, what should be the strategy I need to follow and how? Please give me your advice.

Waiting for your reply.

Thanks & Regards.

Contribution of HR manual by Jasmit in Ahmedabad was found to be quite useful. It has most of the ingredients necessary for general HR purposes. Only if the company has a special product (exported out of India) or a service that is provided to European clients, will the manual need to be more comprehensive and enlarged.
