Request for Suggestions on Employee Children's Recognition Policy
We are planning to recognize the children of employees who have scored good marks in their studies. You are requested to suggest ways or a policy to recognize them. It's an urgent requirement.

It's a good move, but without considering the background, it can be highly discriminatory. What is the rationale behind such a policy? If you still wish to proceed with the policy, you could consider offering them book tokens if such an option is available in India.

You can invite applications from employees whose children have achieved a good percentage (like above 85%) in their academics (e.g., SSC). Based on the ranking determined by their marks, you can sponsor money for their further education. The exact amount can be decided based on the number of candidates and in alignment with your budget.

First of all, frame a policy that would include the following:
- Who is eligible?
- What are the eligibility criteria?
- When is the announcement to be made, and how will you ensure that everyone gets the information?
- How are the nominations to be received, and what supporting documents are to be submitted?
- Who will form the scrutiny committee?
- What is the budget allocation for the entire theme?
- Based on the budget, work out the modalities of how to implement, e.g., do you have a get-together, what will be the prizes, who can attend, etc.

I request you to consider not just recognizing the highest scorer but also to include the one who shows the most improvement. This can be achieved by collecting not only the current score but also the scores from the last assessment, and then identifying the relative improvement. Such an effort will bring recognition not only to the merit category but also encourage everyone to work harder.
I hope this suggestion works. Please do share if you encounter any bottlenecks.
Thank you.
