Dear colleagues,
My son has been working in an MNC call center, which is his first job, for the past three years. Now, he wants to move on and resign. However, the company is not accepting his resignation and is asking him to serve his notice period. Despite his excellent performance at work, they are reluctant to let him go. Additionally, they have reduced benefits and incentives for everyone, which is why he is looking to leave.
How should he submit his resignation letter? He intends to serve the full 30-day notice period and wishes to part amicably. Nevertheless, the team, senior management, and Vice President are delaying the acceptance of his resignation letter. Your advice on this matter would be greatly appreciated.
Regards,

Rummy,
A company not accepting the resignation of an employee may indicate that the individual is in the good graces of the boss or that their performance is consistent. It is advisable to attempt negotiation for a better package, and if an agreement cannot be reached, the only option may be to personally persuade the boss to accept the resignation. No one can be secure in an organization without the consent of the relevant parties. Ultimately, it is simply a matter of parting on good terms.

Hello jyoti.shinde, can you please start another thread for your problem rather than barging into someone else's thread?
Hello Rummy, Pon has said it right. In situations where the reason for not accepting the resignation is purely performance-related, the best way is to take full advantage of the situation. Ask your son to state clearly that his boss "either gives him a raise commensurate with his capabilities" or "accepts his resignation." Also, a subtle hint to his boss that my father (you) wants to consult a lawyer to handle the problem, but I am asking him not to, given the nice relationship we have. That should convey the message straight and clearly. And in all probability, they should agree - who would like things to escalate for the wrong reasons from the company's perspective?
