There are many ways to do this.
1. Organize a woman-centric movie for everyone to watch, followed by dinner/lunch/tea.
2. Have a competition like a salad competition or embroidery.
3. Organize fun games such as cricket or kho-kho.
4. Visit food stalls.
5. Conduct an essay, speech, or debate on women's issues.
Thanks

I think you may arrange a meeting. In that meeting, each woman may speak about her special experience in their job. This will also help with motivation. Additionally, you should address the problems that women workers are facing in your organization.

Dear Appu123,
You can do so much. Get connected with a women's organization, take a pledge to stop domestic violence/female foeticide, adopt an HIV+ woman/an abandoned girl child, raise money, and spread awareness for an orphanage/old age home/women's shelter. The possibilities are endless.
Hope you do something positive.

I can share what we had done a few years back. We organized a half-day workshop which was chaired by a woman General Manager and attended by a cross-section of employees. All participants were greeted with a rose and given a small card with a nice quotation about women. These were all customized and hand-made.
There was a presentation on women who were Corporate Role Models, managing multiple roles, and a panel discussion on changing roles and expectations of women.

We have the male employees prepare lunch for all female employees and also deliver a brief speech for each female team member about why they are special and how they have contributed to the team. In addition, they must create a collage for each female team member showcasing things about them, and the best collage wins.

Suggestions here have generally been organizing events and speeches, but of course, you have to do something within the working hours. I would not suggest taking women employees away for dinner or evening because a woman is as much an important part of the family, and her husband or children would love to spend the evening with her. I would take my wife and children out for dinner, and my children give gifts to their mother in the evening at the dining table.
If you have any function, let the women organize the celebrations. Let not men intervene and come up with preconceived ideas on celebrations. I liked a suggestion that let women speak on their experience in the workplace. Get somebody to train them for an hour on self-defense. Let somebody counsel them on domestic violence. (At least the working women who are independent, please do not tolerate domestic violence; get out of that marriage.) Get somebody to counsel them on personal finance management.
A woman is the most beautiful avatar as a mother, wife, and the most underestimated leader. Do anything to appreciate their contribution to the company but also family and society as a whole. PLEASE DO NOT MISTREAT them. They deserve more but get very less.

Hi,
In our company, we have given an opportunity for women to conduct an event for the entire organization. This event will have a theme-based game and a small presentation on women's importance, along with a small gift for all women. This initiative will help us:
- To motivate the entire women's team, showing they are capable of conducting events on their own.
- To demonstrate to others their importance at work.
Thanks,
Anil

I guess you can ask every man to say something positive about a female colleague in your firm. If those guys are not comfortable expressing it verbally, you can organize a game where each person can write something good about any female present on a small chit of paper.

Hi,
Good to see this discussion here. Well, my company is planning to have a leisure lunch arranged for all women employees in a hotel. The dress code given is purple as Women's Day is also termed as Purple Day. Our GM has lunch with all the ladies and presents them with some gifts and purple flowers. Additionally, there is a paid holiday for all women employees.

Hi everyone,
As women, I feel that each of us has to make the day meaningful to a less fortunate woman. I am from Habitat for Humanity, and we work towards housing women who head the family as sole breadwinners. We have corporations that are interested in participating in volunteer builds (doing the unskilled labor on the house). It would be the best gift we can give ourselves and society.
If you are interested, you could get in touch with us at

Today is the 7th, and I want to extend my advance wishes to all the women in this forum for Women's Day on the 8th. Brave, brilliant, and beautiful women - wives, daughters, mothers, and sisters, colleagues, women of every avatar - enjoy your life and stand up for your rights. Never demand but command. My best wishes to you all.
On this day, I remember one Asha Mathews who used to contribute a lot some time ago. I used to read her with a lot of interest. She used to comment and advise a lot. These days, I do not know why, but she is not contributing. I request her to start her contributions again.

We have organized a talk at our office and have invited a lady gynecologist, as well as a nutrition and wellness advisor. Additionally, we are offering a blood test for all.
