Respected Sirs,
I am Mitesh Makwana from Gujarat, currently working in Karnataka in the sugar industry. I have recently been appointed as a trainee personnel officer (5th March). I am now interested in pursuing a Ph.D. in HR. I would greatly appreciate your help in selecting topics for my research. If anyone has completed a Ph.D., please share your contact number. For those who are Ph.D. guides, your assistance would be invaluable.
Thank you for your support.
Regards,

I also wish to do a Ph.D. in HR, but I'm looking for good guidance. Is it possible to pursue a Ph.D. while working in an office environment? I believe it might be easier if we are in the teaching profession rather than in any industry.
Help me in this regard.
Thanks & Regards,

Office environment or teaching profession doesn't make a very big difference. Both have their own advantages. If you are in an educational institution, you can make use of the library, but when in a company, approaching for data collection would be easier.
Please decide the area of interest. It is better to choose a guide according to your area of interest. Then, you need to decide the university. You can pursue a Ph.D. only with those guides who have registered under that university. However, there are a few universities without this barrier.
Good Luck.

Dear All,
I am interested in pursuing a Ph.D. in HR, but I heard from one of my friends that one needs to complete an MPhil before pursuing a Ph.D. Even IGNOU university is asking for an MPhil before opting for a Ph.D. in management. I request your guidance on this matter. My email address is k.sairamu@gmail.com.

Hi, Unless you wish to go to teaching, Ph.d would not add value in industry. Go infor MBA, if you are not or do some certifications course which will add value. Today scenario is different. daleep
dear sairamu if you have a work exp of 2-3 yrs, you can diretcly pursue PhD. There is no need of completing M.Phil. Again this rule differs from university to university. Priya
