Dear Sarvesh,
Nice post. You could also add the following leadership traits:
Alertness: A leader should be alert to all the happenings in his team so that correctives could be taken where needed or rewards could be given where deserved.
Decisiveness: A leader should have the capability to make decisions in the interest of the team and the courage of conviction to take ownership of the decision regardless of the outcome.
Dependability: A leader should be dependable. His superiors and subordinates should be able to depend on him to deliver.
Flexibility: A leader should be flexible, having a dynamic thought process to deal with unforeseen circumstances or changed situations.
Humility: A leader should be humble. His team should be able to associate themselves with him.
Integrity: A leader should display integrity of the highest order and set examples for his team to emulate.
Justice: A leader should be just and decide on awards/punishments based on actual performance rather than hearsay or sycophancy.
Professional Competence: A leader should be professionally competent. Only then can he get the work out of his teammates.
