Dear HR,
I am working as an HR with Arena Animation, a training institute. We are planning to arrange a gathering for students! I would be grateful if you could kindly drop in your valuable suggestions to make this event a successful one.
I have thought of:
- Group & solo Dancing
- Group & Solo Singing
- Drama, etc.
Do you have any more ideas?
Regards,
Priyanka

Dear Priyanka,
You can also add some one-minute games like tongue twisters, backward counting, etc., to make this event more entertaining or include a play with a valuable moral. Mimicry, instrument playing, etc., can also enhance the event.

Hi Priyanka,
I am not sure on what scale you are planning the event, but if it's an outdoor event, I could help you organize a paintball event. It's really cool and popular among all age groups, and most importantly, a welcome break for everyone from books and computers, considering it's a training institute. Do think about it.

Hi Priyanka,
There are some very interesting suggestions by members, and George has been kind enough to forward you 3 interesting PDF files containing a variety of games. You have enough and more material to have a great get-together.
I would only suggest that you plan your games and events keeping in mind the fact that you need to ensure more participation than competition. To this end, please choose suitable warm-up activities/games and move on to group games where anyone who participates has a fair chance of winning. This could be as simple as having a lucky draw or a game like Bombing the City, and do ensure you wind up with a game of Tambola/housie. Competitive games/activities can be used in between to ensure a spirit of healthy interaction, audience support to groups, and an opportunity for the special talent to display their skills.
Best Wishes,
Jacob

Dear Priyanka,
May I know the duration of the program? If the duration is going to be half a day or so, we can start with a few games and in between two games, have cultural programs. You can include the students' talents for mimicry, instrumental music, dance, and singing.
The games can be some instant games like Dumb Charades, Just a Minute, Antakshari, etc.
Of course, you should have something to give the students to eat, such as snacks or lunch (if the budget permits, in case of a full-day event). For outbounds, you can have games like Tug of War, Musical Ball, Treasure Hunt, etc.
You can invite a renowned person from the industry to deliver a speech and give away prizes to the winners of the games towards the end. This will also add to the marketability of the institute.
Please see if this is useful and feasible.
