Hi Depti,
Annual Day Celebration - First, you should have the program schedule. Once it is ready, the next step will be to create an action plan to organize the event. The Annual Day event may include recognizing the staff and their contributions, celebrating the company's success, providing entertainment for the staff, and concluding with lunch/dinner. Organizing such a function poses a significant challenge. Any guidance you can provide would be greatly appreciated. Please revert back to me at

Hey,
To start with, consider the following steps:
1. Decide your budget.
2. Plan the events to be conducted.
3. Organize prize distribution.
4. Arrange for snacks and sweets.
5. Prepare a speech on achievements during the past year.
The key to success lies in how you conduct the events. Therefore, it is essential to plan everything well in advance.

Hi Deepti,
So, as Prasannaraj said, POSDCORB stands for Planning, Organizing, Staffing, Directing, Coordinating, Reporting, and Budgeting.
1. You have to see what you are planning. First, establish a steering committee comprising only those individuals who can plan the program, such as an activity list, invite list, award distribution list, and other necessary details, including finances - how much your company can approve.
2. Work subdivision should be arranged.
3. Form different committees responsible for various tasks.
4. Ensure coordination between the committees.
5. Report on task accomplishment.
6. Manage accounting and control.
Thank you.

Hi All,
Can you please help me draft the content for my company's Annual Day invitation card? We are celebrating it by organizing a formal party and award distribution for deserving individuals.
I already have the card design; however, I am confused about the wording. The party is scheduled for the 3rd of October, so I need assistance urgently as I have to send it for printing.
Please help.
Thanks,
Swati

Hi Meenakshi/Dipti,
Any program, for that matter, has to start from the budget available for the event. Once this is with you, then you can plan accordingly.
The program for the day can be emailed to employees a week before so that they are aware of the agenda and can plan the day accordingly. Make sure the email should have the following contents: Venue, Start Time & End time with the Date of the event, Pickup details, and drop details, A snapshot of the program.
The day can start with breakfast; if so, then your time should be planned accordingly. The first half of the day could comprise of some sports events like cricket, football, volleyball, exploring the resort, and leaving employees to be on their own for some duration with a break for snack/coffee/refreshments if possible around 11:30 a.m and lunch between 1:00 and 2:30 p.m. Relaxation between 2:30 p.m and 3:30 p.m followed by tea/coffee and snacks. 4:30/5:00 p.m will be a good time to start the evening program which can start with an opening speech by the HR Director and followed by some cultural events, Ramp, etc. In between, conduct the prize distribution for the winners of the games played in the first half, recognition/speech on achievements for the year, etc. Thank you speech. Plan to end the program by 7:30 p.m. Throw open the dance floor along with drinks/dinner simultaneously so that employees can choose whatever option they need.
Note: Cultural programs - sports, games, practice, costumes, etc., should be planned at least 1 to 1.5 months before the event.
I hope this helps.
Feel free to write for any clarifications.
