Hi, I have to do a research paper on Evaluation Models for Learning and Development. I must choose five models to compare/discuss. Does anyone know of an article or book that I can reference that will give a brief overview of all evaluation models written or the most widely used models? I am in education and am mainly interested in those models used to evaluate curriculum, HR training in the education field.

Thanks,
Cathi

Dear Cathi,

Greetings!

For evaluation learning and development, you can explore "Kirkpatrick's Learning and Training Evaluation Theory - The Four Levels of Learning Evaluation."

The four levels of Kirkpatrick's evaluation model essentially measure:

Reaction of student - what they thought and felt about the training
Learning - the resulting increase in knowledge or capability
Behaviour - extent of behavior and capability improvement and implementation/application
Results - the effects on the business or environment resulting from the trainee's performance
