Hello,

Can anyone tell me the formula to calculate the learning index of a training session? For example, if the pre-training score is 3 out of 10 and the post-training score is 8 out of 10, then what is the learning index?

Kindly suggest!

Hi,

If I am not wrong, then the learning index is calculated as follows:
Pre-training score = 3/10
After training score = 8/10
Learning index = (8-3)/3
= 5/3 = 1.67

But I am really not sure about it. So, until then, please wait for others' responses as well. Sorry if there is something wrong.

Hello,

I have the right formula for calculating the learning index. As you must know, the learning index is calculated to determine the improvement in the candidate's performance from the base, which, in your case, was a pre-training score of 3. So, the pre-training score is 3, which is the starting point from which we achieved a post-training score of 8. The difference between the two scores is used to calculate the improvement.

The formula for the learning index is: (post-test score - pre-test score) / (total score - pre-test score). Applying the values from your case, it is calculated as follows:

Learning Index = (8 - 3) / (10 - 3) = 5 / 7 = 0.7142857

This can be converted into a percentage, making it 71.42857%.

I hope I have been able to solve the problem well.

Take care. Bye.
