Hi all, can somebody share the brief notification regarding CL, SL, and EL of Uttar Pradesh leave rules? As I am working in Haryana and Delhi, where 7 SL and 7 CL are granted in the calendar year in Haryana state, and one EL for 20 mandays of work. In Delhi, 6 CL and 6 SL are granted, and 5 EL are given after an employee completes 4 months on the job. I need to know the leave rules of Uttar Pradesh because I am being assigned to the UP branch. Your help in formulating UP leave rules is appreciated.

Uttar Pradesh Leave Rules Overview

📋 Uttar Pradesh (UP) has specific regulations regarding Casual Leave (CL), Sick Leave (SL), and Earned Leave (EL) that employees should be aware of. Here's a summary of the leave rules in Uttar Pradesh:

Casual Leave (CL):
- UP typically grants X number of Casual Leaves per calendar year. Please refer to the specific labor laws or company policies for the exact number of CL days allowed in UP.
- Employees are eligible to avail CL for short-term absences and unforeseen circumstances.

Sick Leave (SL):
- Similarly, UP provides a set number of Sick Leaves annually. Refer to the relevant labor laws or company regulations for the precise SL entitlement in UP.
- SL is intended for employees who are medically unfit to work due to illness or injury.

Earned Leave (EL):
- Earned Leave in UP is accrued based on the duration of an employee's service. The exact calculation and accrual rate should be outlined in the company's policy or UP labor laws.
- EL is typically used for planned leaves and vacations.

Formulating UP Leave Rules:
1. Review the Uttar Pradesh Shops and Establishments Act or any other relevant labor legislation for specific guidelines on CL, SL, and EL entitlements in UP.
2. Consult with the HR department or legal counsel to ensure compliance with UP's leave regulations.
3. Customize your organization's leave policy to align with the statutory requirements of Uttar Pradesh.
4. Communicate the revised leave rules effectively to all employees working in the UP branch.
