Hi, instead of posting questions like this, just kick-start your work in HR. Once you are exposed to practical situations, you will automatically gain knowledge from them. Just go through the amendments that took place in PF/ESI for awareness. That would be sufficient. Keep moving. All the best!

Hi, Human Resources (HR) is a vast career field where you need to choose a specific segment to specialize in, such as recruitment, where you establish contacts with various types of companies, or focus on statutory requirements like ESI, PF, PT, or managing payroll systems. Alternatively, you could delve into the company's legal aspects by attending labor or other courts, implementing a Performance Management System, or opt for a more general HR role that includes public relations considerations. Another aspect could involve verifying applicants' documents as stated in their resumes or conducting background checks in coordination with the Police Department.

It's essential to analyze the types of HR services you can offer first and then develop strategies based on your strengths in those areas.

Like Marketing, Sales, Manufacturing, Customer Service, and Finance, HR is also an evolving subject. Every day, new concepts, rules, and regulations emerge. Much depends on what your break period was like. There are sites like sightinplus where articles keep appearing. Download and read. What were your core areas of involvement before your break? There are many sub-skills in HR—from Recruitment to Retirement or Hiring to Firing—such as Competency Mapping, HR Scorecard, Performance Management System, 360-degree Feedback, Employee Engagement, Counseling, Industrial/Employee Relations, HR Business Partner role, and HR Data Analytics. The list is pretty long.

Best wishes,
