I am a Talent acquisition professional with 8 years of experience. Right now I'm in between jobs and thought of doing my MBA. Since I don't want to go for a full time MBA in HR, hence been recommended for Executive certification(PGCHRM) from XLRI. I was wondering If anyone has done this certification and how much it got value addition in your profile. Do you get placement assistance from XLRI for the same. And How companies are responding to such certifications?
Also If anyone knows any other weekend executive MBA program equivalent to the regular MBA with Tier one colleges in Mumbai. Please suggest.
P.S. - I am B.Tech. Grad with 8 years of Talent Acquisition(HR) experience.

Dear Risha,
PGCHRM is one of the best courses for working HR professionals. I can say so coz i had the opportunity to do it, was a part of PGCHRM 23. However unlike any other part time course, this course is too demanding and expensive than some of the similar courses run by IIM. It will eat up your weekends, there are 20 subjects that are covered in a span of 13 months and each subject has multiple tests, projects that determine your final grade; many people quit halfway and same fail too. This course will not only imbalance your work-life relationship; however will also throw you back to full time studies. Course mandates 5 day classes at XLRI campus. Alas, it's chrysalis! A amazing learning experience and you would know once you are done with the course.
Nope, the course doesnt offer any placement! Only full time programs offers Campus Placements.
