I want to leave my current job because I am getting a new job. My concern is regarding my wife's pregnancy. After resignation, how long is my ESIC card valid? My resignation date is 6th December 2016. I also need to know how I can avail medical benefits for my wife.

Resignation date on 6 December 2016 means the contribution is paid for 5 or 6 days in December. The employer can submit your exit details in January 2017, filing from 1st of February to 21st of February. Unless the date of exit is submitted with ESIC, the card is valid (subject to Form 37 submitted earlier).
