Request for Assistance in Drafting an Affidavit for EPF Claim
Our employee passed away while in service in 2009. His spouse is seeking to claim the EPF in 2015. She reminded me about the claim she applied for, which has now come to the attention of the local EPF office. The officer in charge has requested records of attendance and salary. Unfortunately, the salary register is not available. Although the attendance register is available, it mistakenly shows attendance marked for him for about a month, indicating a lack of awareness. Nothing is required to be shown to the EPF department or concerned officer, but she is eligible for pension and ELDI benefits through EPF. She will receive pension and other benefits from the date of her husband's death. You may have records of his joining the provident fund and the date of his last contribution. That is the only requirement. You may have his PF number, and the PF department will have all the details. If you encounter any issues, please contact me, and I will assist you.
