Re-categorization of Industries by Pollution Index
There is an important move from the Ministry of Environment and Forests to re-categorize industries based on the pollution index, which is determined through scientific assessments. In addition to this, the ministry has introduced a new category, WHITE. Companies falling into this category do not need to obtain any annual consents or renewals. This is considered an industry-friendly move by the government. I am enclosing a copy of the press release, which includes the details of the industries falling under the Red, Orange, Green, and White categories, presented in tables 1, 2, 3, and 4, respectively.
