Dear All,
Pls Can any one help me out in providing some idea that What topics should be covered in HR for a manufacturing Unit if that Company wants a Complete solution to all its day to day HR Practices.
I am in the field of Marketing but as I have done my MBA in HR 7 Marketing ( Batch 2010-12) & I have given with the task of making an Outline & finally a PPT on the topics that will be covered for a Manufacturing Concern related to Human Resource,.
I want help in this matter.
Pls suggest me any idea or If any one can provide with me a list of topics of HR for a big manufacturing Firm

Who has asked you to give a presentation?
How large is the company that needs these services?
For a better advise, can you clarify whether all that you have to do is to give a simple academic presentation only or you have to study the unit and suggest solutions? If it is a simple academic presentation then the suggestion given by Mr Ramesh in post #2 above will suffice. If it is not, then you have to give further details.

I am an MBA of 2010-12 batch & I have got placed in a Software company with the designation in Executive - Marketing ,
But as I hv done my MBA in both HR & Marketing So my roles sometimes moved from my field to HR Field !
I have read in MBA in HR ,the subs like HRP ,HRD,Industrial Relations ( IR),& Cross Cultural & Global HRM ( CCGH )
As the company which has no international operation I think CCGH will not be applied & the company will not want to make software for the grievances & complaints from its Trade Union . So IR will ot be applied What I think .
So pls give me with necessary suggestions & help in this matter

I am no HR expert. However, when bloggers do not give enough background information, I seek that by raising questions. Giving detailed background information, at the outset, helps save bloggers time in giving precise answers.
You have to make it to fit into the time given. Though the topics already suggested cover almost all facets of HR you can modify it taking into account - 1. the time constraint; and 2. the nature of the organisation [software company].
A software company may be more interested in topics such as manpower forcasting, manpower planning, retentiion/turn-over of employees, compensation management [including incentives], legal compliances, training etc. You may lay emphasis on these topics. Wish you all the best!

I have gone through all your points . The company to which We are going to provide a complete HR Soln has no international operations.

One other thing I.e. You have mentioned that Industrial Relation will be covered . In IR the role of Trade Union is an important aspect . So will their Management want to make a software w.r.t their Trade Union ?

Will IR come under the solution We want to provide ?

Again please provide me with me necessary sub topics under each main topic U have described in ur Reply .

LikeHRP,Recruitment & Selection,Trg & Development,Performance Appraisal & Rewards,Salary wage admn,Employee Welfare Admn,Employee Engagement Activities,Over all House Keeping of the plant,Contractual Manpower Mgt,Security Admn,Statutory Provision under different Labour Laws etc ......

Pls provide me with necessary Sub Topics for all above I mentioned .I think U have worked in a plant . I have only studied theoritcal aspects of HRP ,HRD and IR .

Other topics U have described like Employee engagement activities,Security admn,Over all house Keeping,Pantry/Canteen admn etc Ithose were not in my Syllabi .

Our main Purpose to provide that company a complete HR Software soln . So for that Primarily We have to make an Outline first that which topics can come w.r.t a Manufacturing Unit that have only national operations.

Our Company converts Concepts into software solutions .

For that I first need a good sound outline consisting not only th main points as well the sub topics under those ...
