I am working in a US-based company in Pune. I am a little bit involved in hiring resources for the internal team. We, however, don't have any bulk recruiting but need 4-5 candidates per month.

Recruitment Options for Small-Scale Hiring

For this situation, which is the best option? Outsourcing the recruitment activity to a third-party placement agency and paying 10% on CTC for each candidate? Or buying Naukri, Monster, or TimesJobs?

Hiring from placement or directly depends on certain specific factors:

1. Cost of the portals
2. Time, a factor to close the position
3. Manpower cost/Search executives

Keeping in mind all the factors, placement agencies are a better option if they are working professionally. The company does not bear the cost of portals. Extra manpower is not required for search. Positions can be filled within the timeline.

RIGHT CANDIDATE AT RIGHT TIME is more important than anything else for any company.

Thanks for all your responses. I spoke to one of the consultants from a job portal company (don't want to name the company ). They have a package of Rs. 2500 for 2 days with one job posting, and Rs. 5000 for 10 days, and so on. Like I said, we don't hire that rigorously that we have to take a year-long license. So I found this option pretty decent. However, we are already tied up with a third-party company that keeps sending quality candidates, and we place them in our company. So when they place, we have to pay them a really good amount of money. So rather than taking assistance from these third parties, do you think the option of a 2-day or 10-day license should work more effectively?
