Hi all, it would be really nice if someone could help me with this. I run an HR consultancy. We work 5 days a week and have 13 other holidays in 2013. Do I need to give any more leaves to my employees? Is the rule of 21 leaves still applicable to me as mentioned in the Maharashtra Shops and Establishment Act? If yes, do I provide 8 more holidays to my staff (21 - 13) or do I have to give 21 more leaves? Please help me understand this.

Thanks in advance.

Understanding Leave Requirements Under the Bombay Shops and Establishments Act

As per the Bombay Shops and Establishments Act, 21 days of annual leave and four national holidays are mandatory. After earmarking four national holidays, you can convert the remaining 9 holidays into annual leave and add 12 more days to make it a total of 21 days of annual leave.
