I don't have any idea about legal action or laws, but I know that when a person works for the whole month, he or she deserves a salary. I am working at a mobile application company called Mango Technology in Bangalore. This is my fourth month, and I have received all my salary within three months. However, when the time came for my permanent position, they are asking me to work without pay. I am from Kolkata, and I don't have any savings. How will I manage a full month without pay? Just two to three days ago, they informed me that they will not pay me, and if I want, I can continue working. I don't want to serve any notice period, but I do want my salary. Can anyone help me with what I should do now? I am feeling so helpless. Please help me out. I need my salary. I have rich experience, but this sudden decision is something I cannot cope with. Please, please help me. I am a girl without money in a new city, and it is very difficult.
I hope I will find a solution.
Thanks,

Please speak to HR there and try to solve the issue. If they are not responding properly, you can approach the labor commissioner of that region. Then, automatically, you will get your salary with a penalty. I have seen many people getting their salaries through the Labor office.

Yes, Mr. Karthik is absolutely right. It is better to approach HR. But I feel there might not be an HR, and even if there is, he might not help. Anyhow, try to meet the HR.
In the Worst Case Scenario
In the worst-case scenario, you should approach the Senior Labour Inspector. The Labour office is located near Dairy Circle. If you need any more help, you can reach out to me.

Have they given you the appointment letter? Is the company registered and valid in India?
Steps to Address Non-Payment of Salary
First things first, check why they don't want to pay. Are there any other employees like you? Approach the senior-level management in the organization. Once you get the written reply, you can also approach the labor commissioner.

Importance of Appointment Letters and Employee Rights
Appointment letters are important, but above all, no employee should be left without payment for work done.
• Filing a Grievance
1. To file or launch any grievance against an employer or any employee, as per the I.D. Act, an employee-employer relationship must exist.
• Accepting Employment Conditions
2. If you are going to accept management's condition to confirm employment, ensure you take the same condition in writing as proof.
• Proof of Work Without Pay
3. If you are still working in this company, you must have proof of having worked on those days without pay. As per the new amendment under the I.D. Act, an employee under the workman category can directly launch a case against the employer to the Tribunal or the local Assistant Labour Commissioner.
