I have recently joined in HR at a automobile dealership firm. Requesting senior people from same industry to share general guidelines to be followed as per factories act. This firm has 35 employees and is located in state of Rajasthan.

Hi,
Thanks for responding.
I have been asked to systematise HR practices as per labour laws. Hence this query... what points should I keep in mind while finalising work hrs, leave, salary structure with ref to PF & ESIC implications, any good HR practices with ref to automobile sector, what points to be remembered in case of contractual labour, what documents are compulsory for employee folder, ext formalities....as in whar rules to be followed if an employee leaves with proper/ improper notice served etc.... Hope you can share your views... these details shall also help me in drafting a policy for this firm.
pl if you can also let me know what major heads to be covered in drafting HR policy document.

As you said the staff is 35 in strength ,then according to govt.8 hrs per day is working hrs,when comes to leave that depends on company,but it should be 1 casual leave per month,salary also depends on company per year turn over and position and qualification and keep in mind market value of an employee,this salary calculation will be different according to your state u can calculate,Pf will be 12% of basic and ES I is 2.75% on basic for contractual lab-our salary depends on hrs of work/daily wages,no PF /ESI
