I need a clarification regarding the earned leaves as per factories act.
One of our employee joined in October'2008 then is he able to get EL in next yer ,how EL will be calculated?

Dear Saurabh,
Go through chapter VIII on annual leave with wages under the Factories Act, 1948 specially sec. 79 for eligibility, grant & accumulation of earned leaves.

1-If a employee joins in november, then how many EL he will get?
2- If a employee joins in july , then how many EL he will get?
Is there any formula to calculate EL's?
I was in interview and that was the question.
I have gone through to Sec 79 but i could not understand!
