Hi!!!
I am working as an HR…and I am a fresher…..There are few employees in my organization who has joined before me but have not received any confirmation letter. Can I issue them the letter? If yes then shall I mention the actual date as their date of confirmation or the date when the letter will be issued?

Yes, you need to issue them confirmation letters. On the top you can mention current date but in the letter format you have to mention the actual date of confirmation.
Just to inform you that legally it’s not correct that you have not issued confirmation letter. Please also check your company policy or consult with your legal advisor.

Dear Trishnita,
As you have said that you are a fresher and have just joined the organisation. So you should need to first confirm from that such employee's supervisor/reporting authority whose probation period has completed but not received confirmation letter. If the such employee's supervisor has already confirmed from his end, then you should proceed for issue of their confirmation letter after discussion with your HR head/manager. Before this you should also look over the HR policy/ Confirmation policy of your organisation.
Firstly you should need get check these above points, then you may proceed for issue of confirmation letter for such concern employees.

1. Pl. see is there any letter of probation has been issued to them?
2. If there is a letter of probation, the employees joined well before you, might have completed their probation period and their services are deemed to have been confirmed. Therefore NO NEED to issue confirmation letter back dated.
