Hi All,
I am eligible for the gratuity from my company as i have completed 5 years with the organization.I came to know from some of the seniors that we can transfer our gratuity to another organization while switching the organization.I would like to know the process for this. Thanks in advance.

Dear Member,
Welcome to CiteHR.
We have not heard of such system/provision in the PG Act to transfer the gratuity amount to another organization. If you are transfer to another organization with continuity of service then in that case you will get gratuity form that organization & you will get the benefit of this service while calculating gratuity.

Dear Sir Gratuity earned in an establishment cannot be transferred to another establishment. with regards
But sir,
Then why now a days doordarshan is giving govt advertisements that we must not withdraw our gratuity from previous organisation, instead transfer it to new organisation to get maximum benifits later on. I also want to know the proedure of transfering gratuity. Please help.

Dear All
Gratuity cannot be transferred from one organization to another. But at the same time superannuation funds of an individual can be transferred from one organisation to another provided the new organisation provide superannuation benefit.
I never heard of gratuity transfer so far.
If any one can throw light on this
Regards
V.SRI

You are mistaken. The advertisement (I have not noticed it as I do not view Doordarshan regularly) might be on transfer of PROVIDENT FUND and not gratuity. Regards, Madhu.T.K
Dear Member,
This advertisement relates to transfer of Provident Fund & not for gratuity.
