I would like to work on my project in retention, but I'm not sure what to do in it. I am uncertain about the specific project I could conduct in retention and how to prepare the questionnaire. I have gathered materials on retention, but I still need more information on the research to conduct. Could someone please reply?

First, understand the reasons people leave organizations. Categorize based on the position level. Once an employee leaves the organization, understand what other factors contribute to their departure from the organizations, position-wise.

Every company has a retention strategy where they don't want to lose key people. Before delving into understanding their retention strategies, visit the company's website, specifically the Human Resources section, where they may mention HR strategies. Implementing a bond for a certain period with newly joined employees is a retention strategy.

Next, analyze each company's strategy and identify the success factors. Finally, provide your comments on the best retention strategies.

Since you are in Bangalore, I suggest considering retention strategies at Sasken and Infosys.

First of all, decide on which industry you would like to target. That will make your project more specific and will also help you gain more insight into that particular industry. You could compare and contrast the retention strategies of various companies in that sector and thereby provide your recommendations, etc.

Thanks for replying. I've prepared my questionnaire. I have added questions based on how satisfied the employees are in the organization, their willingness to continue in the organization, and why they would leave the organization if they were offered better pay, and what would make their job more attractive, etc.

I was trying to cover employee satisfaction and retention but couldn't come up with a good heading for it.
