Dear All,
We recently had one employee retired from the services of the company and he has completed 30 yeears of service in the company.
With regards to his gratuity the full basic & DA was taken into consideration & accordingly calculated, but at the time of payment our corporate office has deducted 10000/- on Rs.6.29 laksh towards tax, but the employee is disputing on the same stating that Gratuity is exempted from tax upto Rs,10,00000/- please throw light on the same..
